simpler things

Sometimes dialling it back and just enjoying the simpler things can feel more fulfilling than something extravagant.
Inspired by the work of Terrence Malick and Emmanuel Lubeszki, I utilised a new piece of equipment that I added to my gear: a 12mm f2.8 lens. Taking advantage of its wide field of view, I juxtaposed it with a tighter frame from my 24mm anamorphic lens.

My intentions were to create a clear sense of being trapped… and then being freed. Visually this is through what lenses I used along with the scenery. Narratively, this was just from my subject going on a walk.
